About the Association

A community-led organisation uniting, supporting and representing Pakistanis in Uganda for over four decades.

Who we are

The Pakistan Association Uganda is a non-profit, community-led organisation that has, since the 1980s, brought together the Pakistani community living in Uganda. What began as a small circle of families has grown into a vibrant network of households, professionals, entrepreneurs and students bound by a shared heritage.

We exist to make sure that no member of our community stands alone — whether in celebration or in hardship. Through welfare programmes, cultural events and charitable work, we preserve our identity, strengthen our bonds and give back to the wider Ugandan society we are proud to call home.

Our Mission

To unite, support and represent the Pakistani community in Uganda — fostering welfare, cultural pride and unity, while contributing to the wider Ugandan society through charity and service.

Our Vision

A confident, connected and compassionate Pakistani community in Uganda — one that thrives across generations, celebrates its heritage, and is a trusted partner in the progress of its adopted homeland.

The values that guide us

Everything we do is anchored in a simple set of principles — the same ones our founders set out with decades ago.

Unity

We are stronger together. We put community above self and welcome every Pakistani family in Uganda.

Service

We give our time freely to support members and neighbours, expecting nothing in return.

Pride

We honour our heritage, our faith and our identity, and pass them on to the next generation.

Integrity

We act with honesty and transparency in how we lead, spend and serve.

Compassion

We stand with members in times of need — through illness, loss and hardship.

Respect

We build bridges within our community and with the wider Ugandan society around us.

Our journey

Four decades of growth, service and community spirit.
